Hey! My name is Maca (pronounced May-sa) and I am the Founder of Healthy Mess!

I am a First Responder's Wife, Mother to 3 children and Certified Health Coach (among many other things). I wear many hats in life and I have a passion for helping others get out of cycles of defeat in their health.

I don't come to being a Certified Health Coach from being top notch healthy all of my life. I spill it ALL and hold nothing back when sharing the real, raw truth in this course. I am in this thing WITH you and leading from a place of experience both personally and from helping others in the last 10 years. My heart is to see people living a life of quality and wellness. You won't find and "diet" rhetoric around here. I am 100% on board for teaching a wellness LIFESTYLE that includes focusing on YOU becoming an Informed Consumer and taking back control of your life. You'll especially find me encouraging in the areas of Pregnancy, Childbirth, and helping Families to find that balance that so often likes to elude us.

Let's have a little chat...

I don't know about you, but I can't help but get a little worn down seeing people I care about (and people I may not even know) going from one fad diet to the next in hopes of dropping a few lbs. When I see the constant chatter of those that have "fallen off the wagon" I cringe! What's the problem, you ask? It doesn't last! For many, these mentalities and diet cycles are rooted in shame and defeat. The idea that we are powerless to our cravings is pretty crazy to me but also that doesn't mean the opposite is living a life of deprivation and sadness. That's not the way we are supposed to be living our lives, friends!

Those are just a few reasons why I set out to create a course where I am able to encourage you in a way OUT of that cycle. We don't negate the fact that you may WANT to trim down a bit but that is not what we are focusing on in this course. Brain and immune functioning, disease prevention, having energy and feeling your absolute BEST are the goals here. Everything else will fall into place.


This course is about teaching you a way of living as an Informed Consumer. It's about reprogramming what you've always thought about "healthy." You're going to learn some fundamentals to help get yourself and your family on the path to wellness for the long haul. This isn't about any quick fixes because we all know those don't last. Beyond this course there is COMMUNITY. You have SUPPORT. You'll be encouraged and guided along the way. I am ready to cheer you on and watch you succeed in this life!

  • We are going to start by addressing some deep rooted issues and potential hangups with food. Why might you be running from a healthier lifestyle or running TO the ones that seem great but leave you feeling dissatisfied? Let's dive in and answer some questions you've probably not ever thought to ask yourself.


  • Then we are going to learn a way of eating that is LIFESTYLE driven and applicable to every single person no matter what your dietary lifestyle is.


  • After that, we'll learn some basics about certain macronutrients and foods that can help you figure out what's going to fuel your body and brain best.


  • We'll learn how NOT to waste your money at the grocery store on things that may SEEM healthy based on clever marketing by the food manufacturers. Becoming an INFORMED CONSUMER is powerful. You'll be able to confidently shop knowing the truth about what the item is you're considering. This also doesn't mean you're going to be "perfect" all the time. Being an Informed Consumer means you're informed of whats on your plate and of your choices, you have the freedom to CHOOSE whatever path you want to take.


  • You'll also learn tangible ways to make mealtimes more simple and enjoyable for everyone in your home!


My goal is to help you feel EMPOWERED by what you learn in this course. Gone should be the days when you make a meal with health in mind that you are so proud of...only to have someone or some documentary tell you that it wasn't actually healthy at all! That is incredibly frustrating.

Another goal I have is for you to feel SUPPORTED. After the course, you have more support available to you through me. There are MANY options that we can discuss as to what would be best for you and that one-on-one coaching is also what I'm here for.
